HN210 Lecture Notes - Lecture 8: Trochlear Notch, Median Nerve, Coracobrachialis Muscle
Document Summary
Humeroulnar: articulation between trochlea (humerus) and trochlear notch (ulna) Humeroradial: articulation between capitulum (humerus) and radius head. During flexion and extension there is movement at both these joints. Proximal radioulnar: articulation between outer surface of radius head and radial notch (ulna) associated with supination and pronation. On the ulna we have a radial notch this is the articulating surface of the ulna with the radius. Radial collateral ligament: there are 2 ligaments that run along the outside part of the joint (one on medial one on lateral) Ligaments prevents medial lateral shear forces (cid:894)do(cid:374)"t co(cid:373)e out of place(cid:895) Cruciate inside the joint crossover ligaments prevent anterior posterior shifting. Ligaments are tight they do not like to stretch. People can hyper extend because they have laxity of the joint. Dermatomes area of the skin that are innervated by particular nerves. During spinal injury test to see what the persons senses are like to know if they have a spinal injury.
