Tries to explain why we have any differences and how it interacts as one. World system means every country is interacting with others. Globalization is where you least expect: the humble pencil. Globalization is increasingly enabled by a box: continerization. Allows us to ship things in bulk, enables us to send stuff around the world very quickly. Shipping is cheap in comparison to the sale price. Given current political and economic system, it makes sense! Life is governed by global processes that follow the logic of globalization.
