Document Summary

Divided into four lines, theme repeated three times. Theme begins in the first section, slightly changed in the next, and slightly changed in the last. Gg at the end is called a rhyming couplet or a heroic couplet. Acts as a reinforcement of the theme or draws attention to the main point of the poem. Isolation but very natural in a sense, untouched pure environment. Unmentioned emphasis on the impact of humans. Introduces the idea of sanctuary, nothing comparable except for south of the equator. Sanctuary as a reserve but also as a holy place - purity or a place of safety and refuge. Sanctuary - invokes an idea of a natural, just environment for wildlife to flourish. A pleasant or peaceful area or period in the midst of a difficult, troubled, or hectic place or situation. A fertile spot in a desert where water is found. Used the word home, invokes a sense of safety.
