Human resource management: the leadership and management of people within an organization using systems, methods, processes, and procedures that enable employees to optimize their performance and in turn their contribution to the organization and its goals. Human resource management is therefore critical to the success and survival of the organization. The field of human resource management thus focuses on what leaders and managers should do regarding the organizing human resource systems, policies, and procedures.
