Concept of transnational oc is ambiguous/unclear because of the vagueness of the term organized". Most publications address 1 particular type of crime ex: drug trafficking received most attention by scholars & still focal point of research efforts. * transnational crime receiving most attention over past few yrs is not drug trafficking, but human trafficking (evidenced by # of monographs/research reports/etc. ) * another prototypical transnational oc emerged in recent yrs as researched object of study: Trafficking in stolen motor vehicles; trafficking in stole arts & antiquities; trafficking in protected wildlife. Trafficking in arms trafficking in nuclear material; illicit waste disposal; fraud; serial burglary; Organized cybercrime addressed more once in a while. , such as: (exam) different sources combined in same research project.
