Praxis is a marriage of theory with practice. We are going to take the theories that we are using in class and apply it to our practice (volunteering) Carol gilligan ethic of care we have to be sensitive to their voice. A lot of the time, they don"t have a voice. In praxis, we want to make their voices heard. Realize you may not be able to help them and they may not want help. Nature and extent of women"s and girl"s crimes. Women in conflict with the law have more in common with other women than they do with male inmates. Number of crimes committed by women are extremely low in comparison to men. The bulk of female crime is minor. Females account for a very small proportion of offences (about 1 in 5). The highest representation of court cases is prostitution, followed by fraud and then theft.
