"under the radar: sexual exploitation, abuse of children and youth through the exchange of sexual activity for money, drugs, and/or basic needs, refers to children under the age of 18 years old. Teenage male sex-workers are rendered "invisible" and essentially ignored. Most research focuses on sexual orientation of young males. When you look at young females, often times there are 25 attempts to leave the trade, and then they do, but this statistic is unknown for males. Refers to children and youth involved in canada"s welfare system. 90% of the youth in care in manitoba are aboriginal: child welfare. Term used to describe a set of government and private services designed to protect children and to encourage family stability. "under the radar" study: vast majority of respondents. History of physical and/or sexual abuse, or had witnessed familial aggression during childhood and adolescence. The aggression is often from a male family member to a female family member (i. e. ) father abuses mother.
