Provincial and territorial courts: lowest level courts, family law, child support, adoption, youth justice, small claims court, preliminary hearings in terms of cases that are heard to determine of evidence can be introduced at trial. Provincial and territorial courts of appeal: each province has their own, review cases of lower courts, arguments given to 3 panel judges, final decision rests on majority. Participants in court processes: litigants; disputants, one shotter: those who us the court occasionally, repeat players: engage in court repeatedly w/in short period of time, lawyers. Intermediary position b/w disputants and courts: considered to/referred to as gate keepers for the judiciary, tell you whether you have a case or enough evidence to win a case.
