Earlier on not dying of these diseases because were not living long enough. Men and women both die just as much. Society has made heart diseases a masculine way of looking at the disease (heart disease, pain down the arm) Angioplasty- take tiny bubbles and push them through arteries to clear out arteries. Medicine- the social institution that focuses on combating disease and improving health (important) Scientific medicine has changed the medical profession and the social profile of doctors.
