We did not see this happen, reasons: Capitalist class has fragmented and grown in size. A higher standard of living in many countries has emerged. Blue collar work has declined, white - collar occupations has expanded. Average income has risen over the course of the 20th century. Revolution didn"t come in part because workers are better organized and their unions are better able to ght for rights and reform. Government has extended various legal protections to workers. Those who think a revolution will come: Wealth remains highly concentrated in our society. White collar jobs don"t offer more income security or job satisfaction then blue collar jobs in their times. Class con ict is present between workers and management. Laws still protect the private property of the rich.
