Iat harvard- can try this at home attitudes and behaviour. Do attitudes always predict behaviour: sometimes attitude and behaviour are inconsistent, lots of reasons for this, the answer is yes, but not strongly. It does predict behavior, when the attitude is strong. If you are looking for the connection between attitude and behaviour, you have to have specificity: ask specifically what you are looking for. Ie: do you attend church, instead of how you feel about religion. These lead to intentions, which lead to behaviour: these 3 factors combined lead to intentions, which then lead to behaviour. These factors work with and against each other: all affect the intention and then the behaviour. Deconstructed persuasion into 3 components: person doing the persuasion. Is the message logical: and the target. Message characteristics: emotion vs argument, whether an argument is one or two sided, people can explain with facts.
