Although many of his ideas were wrong, many were correct or helpful. Tested ideas on his own children or neighbours children. Piaget"s theory motivated the whole field of cognitive development. Piaget"s theory of cog(cid:374)itive develop(cid:373)e(cid:374)t a stage theory. 4 stages represent qualitatively different from other stages. Stages are not more or less but totally different.
