Eugene bleuler: schizophrenia = split mind (disordered thinking process) Positive symptoms: delusions: persecutory, referential, grandiose, religious, somatic delusions. Erotomanic - convinced someone is in love w them. Nihilistic - believing the world is ending - catastrophes. Bizarre: thought insertion, thought withdrawal & delusions of control. Not just while falling asleep (hypnagogic) or waking (hypnopompic) Disorganized thinking (speech) may see, smell, taste things not there. Command - voices that tell person to do something (cut self) Incoherence - word salad (random words / no sentences)
