Shuttle-box is a box that is divided into 2 sections divided by a barrier. Dog is placed in one section of shuttle-box. Light is applied, shock is applied to bottom of box. Dog can escape shock by jumping over barrier. Process is repeated, shock is applied to that section, so dog jumps back again. They will soon learn that as soon as the light comes on, they will expect a shock.
