Note: reaction depends on appraisal: do you perceive that situation is a threat that you cannot cope, distress. Control: weiss (1977) with rats, group 1: no shock, group 2: avoidable shock (have control, group 3: unavoidable shock, note: group 2-3 are yoked receiving exactly the same number of shocks.
