Ovumn secreted around pink layer (granulosa cells) remain stuck after ovulation. Not all these processes happen at the same time. Prior to ovulation for 12 days develops, then ovulation and then yellow for next 14 days. When developing there are many cells developing but all at one stage. Ovulation cycle is 28 days but ovvulated egg will have gone through 85 days developing. Following ovulation you have the corpus luteum developing. Eggs die dont know why even before puberty. Large number of cells recruited to start cycle many don"t make it. Only 1 will become dominant follicle after gregfskdfl stage. As we move ineto antral follicles pre ovulation size increases cause fluid increases. Progesterone plays a role in the luteal phase. Estrogen plays a major role in the follicular phase, as well as it is involved in the luteal phase. We have outer theca, then granulosa cells. We have fsh and lh in circulation.
