Pg. 17 spence suggest that one can evaluate issues in media ethics by means of 5 steps: role morality: dissemination and communication of information to the public, different things we do bring with them different moralities pg. Internal rules are to be supporting the roles of justice and democracy: accurate, fair and thorough information should be disseminated, by having a freedom of press we are able to satisfy the public"s right to know. Treat persons as an end to themselves: if one human violates the free of another human being, every human has a right to wellbeing. Shelter, food: medicine ect, right that focus on freedom are called negative rights (not being interfered with the other, right that focus on well-being are called positive rights.
