The gender system" or gender": the (deeply entrenched) social institutionalization of sex difference": distinctions between the sex"s are biological, distinctions about gender are not, gender roles are expected through your sex, something natural in which something social is attached, but its claimed to be both biological, expectations attached to their gender. It"s to say its not essential to the person what their gender is: you can ask yourself, what principles of justice would you choose if you didn"t know if you were a man or woman, we would then think of family in a completely different way, even if the role of breadwinner was to survive, that there would be a division of labour, what wouldn"t survive is the idea that is there is a presumption that that role will be occupied by a man or woman.
