Heart failure: blood vessel constriction the heart needs to work harder, ace inhibitors and where it acts. Heart failure: left sided failure, will back up into pulmonary circulation, lungs will suffer, inability to oxygenate, cough, crackles, wheezes, fatigue, may have frothy sputum or blood, congestion. 3: right sided failure, fluid will stay where its coming from, edema, weight gain, ascites, congestion on right side, fatigue, enlarged liver and spleen, kidney numbers going up, fluid not properly drained. Dilated cardiomyopathy: enlarged heart, viral, genetic, htn, unknown, pregnancy, blood volume increases, stress from volume, more work for the heart, rest of heart tries to take over, mi, hf. Restrictive cardiomyopathy: restricted filling of the ventricles, right sided failure, relaxation is poor, backup of blood to atria, symptoms of hf, right sided, fainting/sudden death, trauma pericardial sac gets inflamed, hardens up, and heart loses function.
