All new media are disruptive disrupts ways of doing business, accessing content, interacting w people, etc. New media now: digital media, smart phones, computers, etc, analog media. Linear, time bound, hard to alter: sometimes we still follow analog models, but digital media has been disruptive. Digital: non-linear, malleable, virtual, plentiful, always available, user controlled (kind of)
