Humans can be infected by the consumption of unpasteurized milk leading to extrapulmonary tuberculosis can cause a tuberculosis-like illness in humans, particularly in aids patients (immunocompromised ppl) causative agent of leprosy in humans. Global incidence per 100,000 (cid:1005)/(cid:1007) of (cid:449)orld(cid:859)s populatio(cid:374) are i(cid:374)fe(cid:272)ted (cid:449)ith tb (cid:894)>(cid:1006)(cid:271)illio(cid:374) ppl(cid:895). 1/10 ppl w tb will develop active tb in their lifetime. 9/10 are i(cid:374)fe(cid:272)ted (cid:271)ut do(cid:374)(cid:859)t tra(cid:374)s(cid:373)it or a(cid:374)(cid:455)thi(cid:374)g or ha(cid:448)e s(cid:455)(cid:373)pto(cid:373)s. Tb is contagious and spread through the air. If not treated each person with active tb can infect 10-15 ppl a year. Tb is leading killer amongst ppl living with hiv.
