She later found the contract to be unfair and she fled to the uk to work. Warner bros wanted the english court to order specific performance to stop her. Damages flowing from the breach would be difficult to measure. Warner bros offered her a 10% raise every year, but she wanted to make more money because she wasn"t making enough in comparison to other hollywood actors/actresses. David left to work in england, and warner bros stuck their lawyers on her and the court in england agreed that she breached the contract, but the courts will never order 2 people to work together; Davis thought she won, but although the judge ordered her to not work for anyone else; she ultimately went back to warner bros.
