Parties to offence: 21. (1) every one is a party to an offence who allowing for robbery. Dunlop &sylvester case (a) actually commits it (b) does or omits to do anything for the purpose of aiding any person to commit it. Have to know the offence is happening: require mental &physical elements. Know there is an offence: facts that constitute the offence, accessories guilt depends on perpetrators guilt. Intend to do or omit to do something: or abet. Don"t have to be involved w/perpetrator, just have to help them. Perpetrator doesn"t have to have been convicted, just need to prove that. Perpetrator has to have committed crime for accessory to be guilty. Perpetrator might have passed away before conviction they did commit the offence: unsuccessful aiding is still aiding. Purpose w/which you are doing these things: encouraging offence=abet. Usually requires you to be at the scene of the crime: aiding doesn"t require your presence at the scene.
