Period immediately post-injury characterized by greatest negative emotion. Training/ treatment in preparation for an anticipated stressor. Prehab increases function physical and psychological gain leading up to surgery. Similar decrease patterns, but prehab line= shorter time below minimal functional level. Similar trajectory after surgery, but prehab quicker to pre-op levels. Training specific systems that will be affected by the stressor.
