Talking about an old conception of distributive justice. We can never have enough for everyone. Principle of distributive justice: equals should be treated equally and those who are unequal should be treated unequally . Those that are different from like s should be treated differently than a like. What makes you unequal: we take into consideration factors about you. Discrimination: when misused = wrongful behavior, what it actually means: What makes people unequal in healthcare: morally relevant differences: Who has the best chance of recovery? o. The sickest people end up not getting treatment because they have too many co-morbidities that it no longer seems like a viable investment because of their low chance of recovery. Vaccine testing in countries that would not be able to afford that same vaccine when it becomes available to the public o. Reverse consent with organ donation: you are automatically an organ donor unless you explicitly say you would not like to be one.
