I. e. pericardial cavity fluid helps the heart with reducing friction when beating. Help to regionally organize the human body. I. e. lower leg compartments lateral, anterior, posterior. Body organization: chemical level atoms, molecule, cellular level smooth muscle cell. Tissue level smooth muscle tissue: organ level stomach. Depending on how these atoms come together and how they interact they build different molecules. Macromolecules dna, rna, proteins, lipids, etc. Approximately 200 different types of cells in the body. Gross anatomy = you can see it with your eyes (begins at tissue level) Epithelial covers and protects tissue; covers surface of the body, organs, glands, regulates what moves between body cavities.
