In the last 20 year historians have studied nationalism realted to sex and sexuality. We used to study history in nationalism and nation building studies the history of progress. How canada emerges as a colony and involves into a great nation. New approach in the last 20 and 10 years in the realization that nationalism is related to issues in sexuality. Historians realize that the gov. desires to build a national identity is basically related to population growth. And of course population growth is related to sex and sexuality. How are issues on nation building related to pop. Growth: military and to wage wars successfully history of great nations is very much related to the success of building up a strong, fit military. What a (cid:272)ou(cid:374)tr(cid:455) does(cid:374)"t (cid:449)a(cid:374)t is a (cid:374)atio(cid:374) that is u(cid:374)desira(cid:271)le i. e. the frail, the (cid:449)eak, a(cid:374)(cid:455)o(cid:374)e (cid:449)ho (cid:449)as(cid:374)"t white, christian, middle class. So on the surface it seems that nation building is a good thing.
