The school believed his needs were individual. The school board"s refusal to rent a bus w/ a ramp in it is more disabling. The rational solution is to focus on the individual"s, placing the burden of change upon them. They need to change if they want to be a part of our society. By using tools, devices, and therapies, disabled people are able to function more normally. And this is the best way to help them. The diseases are disabling, and we must fix this through approaching the medical condition: prevention. Genetic screening prior to having children - it has been used to justify sterilization. This prevents the disability from occurring anymore, which resolves the problem. Genetic therapy and manipulation changes the dna of how the body is made.
