Sexual response, pregnancy and birth: sexual response cycle, fertility and infertility, problems during pregnancy, birth, including problems, postpartum sexuality, breastfeeding. Sexual activity id driven by many factors including hormones and neurotransmitters. Sexual response is the physiological and psychological changes that occur in the body during sexual behaviour. Most of the time when sperm and egg meet there is no fertilization or there is fertilization and the egg doesn"t implant so pregnancy doesn"t occur. The conception process takes a week to ten days. This occurs when the zygote splits and becomes two blastocysts. This occurs in 50-80% of pregnancies: due dates are usually calculated from the last day of the last menstrual period. Pregnancy: a full term pregnancy is actually 40 weeks, divided into trimesters that are uneven. Problems that can occur during pregnancy: ectopic pregnancy: fertilized ovum implants outside the uterus usually in the fallopian tubes. Problems that can occur during birth: premature births - before the 37th week.
