Increases the ease for women to participate in online women campaigns: cheaper, more effective, potential for greater visibility of feminist messages, crossing boundaries, this is unprecedented in the history of feminist activism. Feminist messages are delivered in more productive ways. As far as digital feminist activism is concerned, there are two main perspectives: optimistic view, skeptical view. Digital feminist activisms makes feminist offline activisms more productive and effective. Successful: my stealthy freedom, case of homa hoodfar. Hijacked: case of aliaa elmahdy, my stealthy freedom. My stealthy freedom, is a facebook campaign, run by an iranian woman. It voices against the mandatory head scarf in iran. Iranian woman post their pictures minus the scarf, within the public places, albeit inconspicuously: this page has more than a million followers. This campaign shows how the middle eastern women are resisting and fighting back on two fronts: against misogynist state, against the colonial discourses of the west.
