1st question: what is reading in today"s digital world. Device we use: computers, cellphones, audio books, tv, laptop, radio, digital billcards (ttc), social media, newspapers, magazines. How we read have an effect on u s. Implication of having to read and respond quickly. So much to consume, we need to find out what we re interested, selective filtering. We get shown all of those choices and what shows up on our newsfeed is the most popular. And what do we know about the most popular, how do we trouble it. Even if we have the choices to read, if we don"t consume critically, maybe those choices aren"t involved as so much agency as we think. If i am not consuming critically/with awareness,, then i might not have as much agency as i think. When we are reading constantly and quickly, maybe it becomes even more important ot become that readers that reads with awareness.
