Five important elements: sender , receiver - the person getting the message, channel - the medium, noise - technical static , feedback - respond from sender. Flaws: her theory is profit centered, the point that noise is technical static, too simplistic, offical one, definition of noice too narrow, theory to simplistic, receiever is not tha tsimple. Mcluhan: media extend our senses, media is an extension of ourselves, put us figuratively out their, medium is very important, according to mcluhan, he believes media is more important than content, reason. Flaws: put too much emphasis on one elements which is medium, difficult to understand, but talking about communication, he said he is that way on purpose because he want us to use two things to understand him. Berger: textual analysis, text is the message, this can be anything - music, pictures, meaning comes only from the message but not the medium, opposite of mcluhan.
