Document Summary

A social, economic and political process that makes it easier for people, goods, ideas, and capital to travel around the world at an unprecedented pace. Globalization as a process means it is neither inherently good nor bad. It does have real impact on the environment and every single human being around the world, although in different ways. Ex: digital divide: inequality of access to means of communication. Involves the actions of groups promoting globalized capitalism and free trade. A retreat from state spending and regulation have as small of a role as possible, money should be restrained, rules should be at a strict minimum. A focus on individual responsibility for one"s own welfare - conditions are set, every person for themselves. Less protection for labour and the environment - let consumers decide. Privatization of state resources - state shouldn"t be involved in health care, transportation etc. , should be privatized.
