Lakes demonstrate effects of ph on environment ph 5. 4: healthy looking trout ph 5. 1: thinner looking trout. Reproduction of the trout and number of crustaceans in lake were also monitored. Acidity of lake has large effect on ecosystem of lake. No fish found in such lakes due to depleted oxygen levels. At top of graph is the year 1994 (when core was taken) Lines indicate change of ph based on reconstruction through diatoms. Middle line is average, bordering lines are error measurements.
