Document Summary
Unlike a vending machine that can only solve a very small set of problems, you are a general problem solver. You can solve a great number of problems in many different problem domains. You can solve a wide variety of problems in a wide variety of domains. A representation of a goal state, representation of an initial state, representation of the operators, and representation of path constraints. A problem solution is any sequence of operators that will turn the initial state into the goal state while obeying the path constraints. A problem solving method is any technique that allows one to search the space in order to find a problem solution. Fd is the size of a search space, where f is the number of operators and d is the number of steps. Average chess game: 30 legal moves on any given turn and an average of 60 turns.
