If you go into an experiment with a certain belief it will alter your research and hypothesis (become bias at times) Participants don"t know the conditions they are in and experimenters don"t know what conditions the participants are in. Scientific theories explain the relationship between two or more variables. Theories are sitting on top a mountain of data (things need to be able to support the theory) Must be possible to make an observation that could/would falsify.
