Document Summary
Recall: t-cell receptors bind to anigens that are bound to mhc (it needs this pedestal ) Hla (human leukocyte anigens) the human form of mhc. Ater an interacion with a cell that presents an anigen-mhc complex. Acivaion proliferaion and secreion of cytokines (efector cells and memory cells); or kill! Release cytokines, which are cells that will kill the infected cells. Anything that is abnormal is packed into mhc. I, transported to the surface to be exposed and destroyed by a t-cell. Expressed on anigen-presening cells (apc) which take anigen from an internal environment and present them on the outside for th cells to recognize. Acivaion of tc cells (or cd8) by mhc i: Tc recognizes and binds onto mhc i- anigen complex (needs both!) Cd8 is placed right beside the t-cell receptors; it binds onto the mhc pedestal, which helps to re-enforce the binding between the t-cell receptor and the mhc-anigen complex. (extra: cosimulaion is done by c28)
