Almost every actor in war will try to find a justification for their actions in war. Wars being fought are justified with just war after the fact questioned. War is a fact of life but want to regulate it in a way that will be a lesser evil: reject notion that a war has to be completely evil. War is a recurring evil but its destructiveness can and should be constrained. Critique: it legitimizes war by giving it a humane" fa ade: finding a way to fight war nicely creates normative fa ade which is problematic, no way to fight a just war.
