Document Summary

Theory is a way of seeing, of understanding of planning. Making generalization, relating a new situation to an old one in order to discern patterns and figure out what is likely to happen. Helps us gain power over the world by providing us with insights for understanding the way thing work. Theory: a supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something, especially one based on general principles independent of the things to be explained. In other words, a theory provides an explanation of a phenomenon that uses some sort of broader framework of understanding. Opinion: is a view or judgement about something, not necessarily uses some sort of broader framework of understanding. Opinions are deeply personal, depending on our tastes, feeling and ideas about the world. Fact: is a thing that is indisputably the case. People claim that facts are beyond dispute when they are based on empirical data, information gained through our five senses.
