Instagram most popular image-focused social medial platform: the hashtag allows users to globally share and discover content. Body image ideals: female societal appearance ideals, thin-ideal figure, thin slight frame with visible muscular definition, male societal appearance ideal, lean but highly muscular, drive for masculinity . Fitness and sport content on instagram: sport and fitness cultures influenced by societal standards of appearance and body ideals, fitness focus on health, cardiovascular well-being, bodybuilding, sport body that is strong, fast, and agile. Sport and fitness social media content: male vs female representation, women are more frequently depicted, women access content more frequently, negative implications for body image and mood.
