They teach us that there can be a genuine science with a different scientific method. Natural philosophy (physics), humourist physiology, astrology, cosmology, theology, metaphysics, Law of natural motion all elements in their natural state tend to reach their natural positions and to remain there. The natural position of heavy elements is the centre of the universe, hence heavy elements tend towards the centre of the universe. The natural position of light elements is the periphery of the sublunar region, hence light elements tend toward the periphery of the terrestrial region. There are 4 states of matter even today: solid, liquid, gaseous, plasma. These 4 terrestrial elements are characterized by sensible qualities. Transformability elements can transfer to another. Heating of water changes its quality from cold to hot and thus turns it into vapour. Possibility of alchemy it is reasonable to search for elixirs and philosopher"s. Four humours blood, yellow bile, black bile, phlegm.
