Document Summary

Every semester one or two essays are plagiarized which i have to forward to the faculty. I can tell from the first couple of sentences if an essay is plagiarized. You have to submit a form that states your essay is your own work. There will be a term definition section and a passage explanation section (you will analyze five passages out of ten) and you have a choice of seven questions to write on. Indigenous authors, activists and scholars have been voicing their opinions on reconciliation. Most discourse has addressed an apology rather than advancing the self-determination of indigenous peoples. It is felt that reconciliation can"t be done without decolonization (issues of land dispossession and a complete restructuring of indigenous settler reconstruction). Colonialism is a structure that is perpetuated that is reinforced through the institutions we continue to have in canada today.
