Semi-autonomous are the organization that set out the legal rules, a community that come together that puts its own norms and sanctions. It is bounded by formal laws and it also builds its own norms. Legal realism: the idea that law is a social fact not found through consultation of statue, it takes place in our lived experiences. Period of where people that were born in the 60s they became law professors they were frustrated with legal scholarship. They were harshsley critical with the legal academy. This was a time where theory was the only thing that people wanted to talk about was theory. New attention to how identity poitionality shaped expereicnes, discourses, idea. You had a shock between the old and new professors. Has a question mark because today everything is falling apart the critique by cls is very compelling. If we change the law then people will be able to advocate for their right.
