Study of crime, approach to study of crime is scientific and theoretical. Sociologist describe the term of crime through the word deviance, deviate from socially approved norms, crime is the extreme form of this. Psychology definition would be abnormal, and religion is sin, legal is crime. Example of socially disapproved behaviour would be homosexuality which was also seen as a deviant behaviour, abnormal, sinful and criminal behaviour. A system where found innocent until proven guilty and if found guilty do time in jail. Detection / judgment / punishment /police / criminal. Victimology: i. e. female are more likely to be at the receiving end of sexual assault in comparison to men. Don"t read method section in articles (i. e. this study was conducted, charts, data) does not need to be remembered. Development of criminology from religious explanation or scientific explanation of crime.
