He was supposed to get the girdle: theseus engages with warfare with the amazons (amazonomachy) and in this battle, he carries away one of the leaders. Brings her back to athens and marries her. Amazons wanted to bring back their queen and so they attacked athens. Lapith fighting a centaur at the wedding of king perithous. Theseus was his best man at the wedding. He also invited centaurs. (not be to trusted) Centaurs got drunk and started chasing all the women + tried raping them. Depicted on a relief on the parthenon. Theseus kidnaps helen as a child, and keeps her until she"s ready to marry. As he"s waiting, he goes off on his adventures. While he"s away, helen"s brother gets him back.
