100 years war, etc: trade, military tactics. Later gothic art death, dying, how to die well and its relationship to how to live, bleeds into 15th century. Different peasant revolts with positive and negative results. The black death: unpopular import from the silk road. Damaging plague from which about 50% of european population died within span of 4 years. Immunity gained if they recovered; some people healthy enough to fight it off. Places where lots of people gathered (monasteries, churches), priests and monks died while trying to take care of them, though much villages left untouched by smaller population. Roughly 100 years from 1328-1329 until 1420s. War that was between england and france over territories in france that originally belonged to. Took place in france, important as when you look at how peasants were treated during the war as opposed to before or after. France allowed scotland to impact and bankrupt the english crown as much as possible eventually.
