Document Summary
The glow of the milky way is from a couple million stars. Constellations are the shapes we imagine when we look at the sky. The stars we see as constellations are only viewed like that from earth: from another perspective (ex: in space) they may have nothing to do with each other. There are tiny (unnoticeable) differences when looking at the constellations from plutoas. Longitude = go from north to south. Can see dif constellations at dif times of the year. The motion of the sun gives us seasons: rises in the east and sets in the west. In the winter, the sun is shining mostly on the southern hemisphere. Spring equinox = the sun is shining directly at the earth. The axis of rotation is tipped relative to its orbit (rotation axis)
