The pectoral girdle girdle is something that holds something on it holds upper limb on to rest of body not a lot of holding arm to rest of body pectoral girdle consists of 2 bones: clavicle (collar bone), scapula. Clavicle articulate medially with sternum called sternal end of clavicle the other end of clavicle articulates with bony feature of scapula called acromion so called acromial end of clavicle. Clavicle at acromial end articulates roughly with a triangular bone called scapula (shoulder blade) Scapula has 3 borders like a triangle: scapula having a superior, medial, and lateral border. Medial border is running parallel roughly to vertebral column and it has 3 angles superior, inferior, lateral angles as well. Humerus bone of upper arm it has a head, a round end on it that forms an articulation like hip. Has proximal and distal phalanges, other digits (ii-v, thumb as starting point)have 3: proximal, middle & distal.
