Document Summary

With capitalism, we have the rise of two classes: the proletariat and the bourgeoisie. Worker doesn"t have the means of production. From the moment we become social creatures we start to exchange with one another. We use goods that other people have made. Even though workers don"t have the means of production they still need to have the means of subsistence -> the need for food, shelter those things that keep them alive, protected and well to live another day. In this kind of world, the workers have nothing to sell but their mental and physical energies. Workers sell their labor power to bourgeoisie for a wage and this wage is based upon a day rate. Owns the means of production, buying the proletariat"s labor- power. Means of production include the land, tools, materials, all those things needed to make a commodity for sale and enough of it to produce a commodity.
