(x1- x2) Coherence of personality: do individuals in some attribute predict individual differences in some other attribute at some later point in time (y1 z2) The way a trait expresses itself will exchange across life force. A trait x might appear as x in childhood and z in adulthood. They are just an underlying disposition that stays the same but just changes the way in manifests itself along time: continuity of personality: Consistency of individual differences - that is relative position or rank order- within a population of individuals over time. Differential continuity is independent of normative changes in trait levels. Even though everybody changes over time, people will still have individual changes.
